How To Turn OFF And On Severe Weather Alerts On LG V30

Serious climate warnings or emergency alerts may cause a weird sound with endless vibrations on your LG V30. These notices can keep you safe, but not everybody wants to receive these and may want to learn how to disable them.

The LG V30 gets emergency alarms or serious weather cautions from government personnel, state and local safety agencies, the National Weather Service, FEMA, The FCC or even Homeland Security. While these alerts can be useful, they can also be very intrusive and some might want to turn them off.

Just like any other smartphones, the LG V30 has precautionary or serious weather notifications. Some have reported that LG’s alerts are the most bothersome and noisy among them all. Presidential, Severe, Extreme, and AMBER alerts are LG V30’s four types of alerts. Follow the directions below to disable it where all of them but one can be turned off.

How to Disable Serious Weather Precautions:

The method of controlling the emergency and weather precautions on LG V30 is by moving to the text messaging app called “Messaging”. Follow these procedures after getting to the Messaging application:
    1. Find the three dots which is the button for the menu in the top right corner, then select.
    2. Go to Settings
    3. Select Emergency Alerts
    4. Check or uncheck the boxes for alerts you do or do not wish to receive
Follow the procedures above and recheck the boxes that you want to receive notifications and alerts from if you’ve changed your mind and want to turn it back ON. The presidential alerts cannot be turned off, unlike the other alerts. Now, you’ve successfully turned off any of those notifications that were interrupting your sleep at night, or blowing up at the wrong moment on your LG V30.
