Fixing Slow Camera Performance on Galaxy S8 and S8 plus
The Galaxy S8 and S8 plus feature a certain camera tech referred to as image stabilization which is used to improve image quality particularly when taking photos at night. This feature is activated by default your smartphone and this tends to slow the camera. To disable this feature, go through the following steps:
- Power on your Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8 plus
- Open the camera app by simply tapping on it
- Tap on Settings on the bottom left inside the camera
- Look for camera stabilization and unselect it.
With the camera stabilization disabled, you'll experience a higher camera performance. although this feature is nice for brighter and clearer pictures, the shutter must be open for longer which is what slows down your camera performance.
If your hand is slow, you may not the great pictures you intended on your Galaxy S8 and S8 plus. If your hands are quirky for some reasons, you'll simply have to disable this feature entirely.
