With the influx of wireless headphones, bluetooth speakers and countless other wireless electronics on the market, Bluetooth pairing has almost become a necessity for smartphone users.  Not to mention vehicles like the Mercedes Benz, Audi, BMW, Tesla, Volkswagen, Mazda, Nissan Ford, GM, Toyota and Volvo all offer bluetooth pairing for drivers and passengers. Although the LG V30 is one of the best smartphones on the market, users may experience issues when trying to pair via Bluetooth.

Without any official method released by LG on how to handle this issue, there is no hard and fast process that will show how to fix the Bluetooth issue on the LG V30. The following steps will guide you on a couple of methods which addresses the LG V30 Bluetooth problems.

Clearing the Bluetooth data on your LG V30

  1. Select Settings > Networks
  2. Click on the Bluetooth switch
  3. Select the device you’re having issues with
  4. Select: Forget this Device or Clear Bluetooth Data

This will clear out the cache and existing data.

If the device you’re trying to connect to isn’t showing up under Bluetooth devices you’ll need to make sure it’s discoverable.

Making Bluetooth devices discoverable on your LG V30

  • Select Settings > Networks
  • Click on the Bluetooth switch
  • SCAN for Devices
  • Connect to a device (select turn on “Discoverable”
  • PAIR when prompted (if a passcode is asked and you don’t have one, the standard default is 0000)
You should be able to connect now to the device.
