Motorola’s new smartphone, Moto Z2, is packed with great features and blocking unwanted text messages is also part of it. There are several reasons why one would want to use this attribute. You can use it to stop receiving messages from spammers, unwanted people and other unsolicited texts. Below, we will show you just how to do this.
On your Motorola Moto Z2 phone, block messages is referred to as “rejection”, which will be called interchangeably to avoid confusion. Here are the steps on setting up rejection on your phone:
Using the Auto-Reject List to Block Text Messages
One method used to set-up your blocked text messages on Moto Z2 is through the Phone app. Enter the application, then select More from the top-right corner of your screen. Select Settings, then find the option Call Rejection, which should be second on the list. Next, once in the Call rejection page, tap on the Auto-reject list option. Here, you may select a person from your contacts, or manually enter a number whose text messages you want to be automatically blocked from your phone. This also shows all the past numbers or contacts that you have blocked, so it is easier to add or remove them anytime you want to start receiving their messages again.
Blocking Text Messages Individually
An alternative way of blocking text messages from an individual person or number on your Moto Z2 is by going through the Phone app. Then, tap on the Call log option, and select the number from the logs that you no longer want contact with. Select the More button on from the top-right corner of your screen, then the Add to auto reject list option. This method may be faster/ easier when you need to block those who have recently contacted you and are visible in your logs.
Blocking Texts From All Unknown Numbers
If you’re receiving lots of unsolicited text messages, you can automatically block all texts from unknown senders. This makes it easier to block the messages when you receive spam. To do this, proceed to the Auto reject list, select the Unknown callers from the options. You will no longer receive anonymous text messages on your Motorola Moto Z2.
