How To Turn OFF Google Pixel 2 Parallax Effect (Moving Background)

The new Pixel 2 released by Google has lots of amazing features that have been greatly received by the users. One of these features is the parallax effect feature. This work of this feature is to provide the home screen of your Pixel 2 with a 3d look and template without actually being real 3D. This comes into effect whenever you move the screen around and it makes it look like that apps and the wallpaper is also moving.

This amazing feature works with your gyroscope and accelerometer to provide you this 3D illusion. As cool as this sounds, it can become tiring sometimes and some users might want to know how to deactivate the parallax effect feature on their Pixel 2. 

How To Switch OFF Pixel 2 Parallax Effect:


  1. Switch on your Pixel 2
  2. From the home screen, click on Menu
  3. Click on Settings
  4. Search and click on ‘Wallpaper’
  5. Move the “Wallpaper motion effect” to OFF
